Deb Mosca

Chief Life Science Officer, XCMR Inc.

Deborah A. Mosca, Ph.D., Chief Life Science Officer, XCMR Inc., has more than 40 years of experience as a proven leader of multi-disciplinary, interinstitutional project teams in various organizations.

In her role XCMR she manages the life science related work in the research, development, and commercialization of electromagnetic devices to protect against infectious agents such SARS CoV2 and other microorganisms.

Dr. Mosca also serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Isosceles Pharmaceuticals where she provides strategic guidance for the development of cannabidiol products as alternatives to opioid treatments for pain relief. In her previous role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Marine Bio-Technologies Center of Innovation, Dr. Mosca was responsible for creating the business strategy to drive the commercialization of marine biotechnologies from North Carolina’s vast network of premier marine research institutions. At PaxVax, she provided strategic leadership for vaccine development programs and assisted with revenue generation through contracts, licensing, corporate partnerships, and venture capital activities. While at The Scripps Research Institute, Dr. Mosca coordinated efforts for the IBM-TSRI Consortium for Project Checkmate (a proactive approach to combat avian flu) and joined Governor Jeb Bush in meetings with Roche and Novartis to stimulate international economic development in Florida. Dr. Mosca received her B.S. in Biology and Genetics from Cornell University and her Ph.D. in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has published more than 42 papers and abstracts and has been involved in the approval of seven patents.
