Alys Spillman

Digital Media Director

Alys Spillman has a diverse background spanning fields such as archaeological technical illustration and grant writing for non-profits. She supports the technical side of the Ocean Exchange award cycle and event as Digital Media Director.

An experienced technical writer, she holds an MA in Archaeology from The University of Reading, UK. Her work is characterized by a penchant for organization in whatever she does, and this has served her well in her multifaceted career, spanning fields such as archaeological technical illustration, grant writing for non-profits, and working with digital media, among others.

No stranger to the science world thanks to her physicist dad, Alys welcomes this opportunity to facilitate the practical application of scientific innovation for the betterment of the world.
