Geoff Dean

Senior Business Development Manager, ESRI

Graduated from Geomatics Engineering at the College of The North Atlantic in 1998 with majors in Hydrography and GIS.

He worked as a Hydrographic Surveyor in the commercial industry on Hydrographic and Oceanographic projects related to Nautical Charting surveys, telecommunications and fiber optic cable installations, oil and gas (pipeline routing, installation, and inspection), and habitat mapping projects. Mr. Dean was also employed as the Manager of Data Provider Affairs at Boeing/Jeppesen working to establish cooperative data share agreements with National Hydrographic Offices for Electronic Nautical Products supporting SOLAS navigation and recreational boating. He has worked as a Global Sales Manager in the subsea robotics industry providing subsea observation/inspection ROV’s for Military/Defense, Law Enforcement, SAR, and commercial applications as well as Sales Manager for Hydrographic Processing/Production software and Airborne Topo/Bathy Lidar. He is currently Senior Manager of Business Development – Maritime for Esri promoting leading GIS solutions for Maritime agencies in support of Navigation, Safety of Life at Sea, Protection of the Marine Environment and the Blue Economy.
